Cenote | Kingman Turquoise Teardrop Cluster Earrings in Sterling Silver

$345.00

One-of-a-kind piece. Once it's gone, it won't be recreated.

Handcrafted in silver. Made to be worn and lived in.

The cool weight of sterling silver settles against your jaw. Three rounds of Kingman turquoise sit clustered at the base of an open teardrop frame, each stone a slightly different shade of blue-green, the way still water shifts color depending on depth.

That is not a coincidence. That is the stone.

Kingman turquoise is one of the most storied mines in the American Southwest. The color ranges from sky to teal, with a matrix that forms over millions of years underground. No two stones are the same. These three were chosen to sit together because they belong together.

The frame is hand-fabricated sterling silver, open and architectural. The cluster is bezel-set, each cabochon secured in a clean, precise setting with silver granule details at the base. The earwires are sterling silver, smooth and secure.

These are not small earrings. They are present. They move with you.

One pair. One of a kind.

About the stone

Kingman turquoise comes from the Mineral Park Mine in Kingman, Arizona. One of the oldest and most respected turquoise sources in North America, it has been mined for over a thousand years. The color is characteristically vivid, ranging from sky blue to blue-green, with a matrix that tells the story of the earth it came from.

Turquoise is one of the oldest stones in human adornment. Worn by warriors, healers, and those who needed to speak truth without flinching. It carries the quiet authority of deep time. Grounded and open at the same time.

Each stone in this cluster is slightly different. That is not a flaw. That is the point.

Care

Sterling silver develops a natural patina with wear. This is character, not damage. To clean, use a soft cloth. Store separately to avoid scratching. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfume, and chemicals.

Name inspiration

The name Cenote comes from the sacred sinkholes of the Yucatan, natural pools of still, clear water that shift from turquoise to teal depending on depth and light. That is what these stones do. Three Kingman turquoise cabochons, each a slightly different shade of the same blue-green, clustered at the base of an open silver teardrop. The water is never one color. Neither is this stone. Formed over millions of years in the desert of northwestern Arizona, Kingman turquoise carries the quiet authority of deep time. These earrings were made to be noticed, and then to feel like they were always yours.

Materials

Each Sun Salt Silver piece is handcrafted using sterling and fine silver with natural stones chosen for their character, color, and story.

I work primarily with turquoise, opal, gemstones, shark tooth fossils, and other stones that feel grounded and alive. No two stones are identical — natural variations are part of the beauty.

All jewelry is made by hand in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques. The result is work that feels substantial, personal, and meant to be worn for years.

Care & Longevity

Sun Salt Silver jewelry is made to be worn and lived in. With a little care, your piece will keep its beauty for years.

Because many designs feature natural stones like turquoise, opal, shell, or fossilized materials, treat your jewelry gently.

A few simple guidelines:

• Remove before swimming, showering, or working with your hands
• Avoid lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products
• Store pieces separately to prevent scratching
• Gently polish silver with a soft cloth when needed

Natural stones can be sensitive to water and chemicals. Keeping your jewelry dry and stored safely will help preserve its color and finish.
