Depths | Pyrite-Flecked Turquoise Charm Keeper Necklace

One-of-a-kind piece. Once it's gone, it won't be recreated.

Handcrafted in silver. Made to be worn and lived in.

This stone looks like the bottom of the ocean at night.

Deep teal. Forest dark. And scattered across the surface, bright pyrite flecks that catch the light the way stars catch water. It is not a stone that asks for your attention quietly. It simply has it.

The cabochon is teardrop shaped, set in a serrated sterling silver bezel with five granulation balls along the lower edge. Hand-fabricated. The kind of detail you notice up close and cannot stop noticing after that.

It hangs from the charm keeper ring of the toggle clasp, which sits at center front. Below the clasp, the pendant. Above it, the necklace splits: faceted seafoam rondelles hand-knotted on teal silk on one side, sterling silver paperclip chain on the other. Two textures. One piece. The asymmetry is intentional.

18 inches. One of a kind.

The Stone

Turquoise is one of the oldest stones in human adornment. Worn by warriors, healers, and those who needed to speak truth without flinching. Found in burial sites, crowns, and ceremonial objects across ancient Egypt, the Indigenous peoples of the American Southwest, and Persia.

This particular stone carries something extra. The pyrite inclusions are not a flaw in the turquoise. They are a record of what happened during formation, iron sulfide crystals growing alongside the copper minerals, each one locking into place over millions of years. The result is a stone that is both grounding and luminous. Earth and light in the same surface.

It carries the quiet authority of deep time. And it catches the light like nothing else.

Care

Natural Turquoise

Natural turquoise is porous and sensitive. Keep away from chemicals, perfume, lotions, and ultrasonic cleaners. Remove before swimming, bathing, or washing hands. Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. The pyrite inclusions in this stone are stable but benefit from the same gentle handling.

Hand-Knotted Silk

Silk is strong but not waterproof. Keep away from prolonged moisture including sweat, rain, and water. Do not submerge. If damp, lay flat and allow to air dry completely before storing. Store flat or loosely coiled, never bunched or compressed, to preserve the integrity of the knots and the drape of the beads.

Materials

Each Sun Salt Silver piece is handcrafted using sterling and fine silver with natural stones chosen for their character, color, and story.

I work primarily with turquoise, opal, gemstones, shark tooth fossils, and other stones that feel grounded and alive. No two stones are identical — natural variations are part of the beauty.

All jewelry is made by hand in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques. The result is work that feels substantial, personal, and meant to be worn for years.

Care & Longevity

Sun Salt Silver jewelry is made to be worn and lived in. With a little care, your piece will keep its beauty for years.

Because many designs feature natural stones like turquoise, opal, shell, or fossilized materials, treat your jewelry gently.

A few simple guidelines:

• Remove before swimming, showering, or working with your hands
• Avoid lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products
• Store pieces separately to prevent scratching
• Gently polish silver with a soft cloth when needed

Natural stones can be sensitive to water and chemicals. Keeping your jewelry dry and stored safely will help preserve its color and finish.
