A rose-cut labradorite glows at the center of Desert Aurora, shifting from muted green to flashes of golden light as it moves. Paired with earthy turquoise and softly oxidized silver, its changing color feels like the last light crossing a desert sky.

The labradorite is held in a fine silver bezel and surrounded by a dimensional sterling silver border. A satin finish softens the metal’s glow, while oxidized recesses emphasize every handmade detail. The pendant hangs from a sterling silver charm keeper, adding both visual weight and a beautifully sculptural focal point.

Turquoise beads in shades of weathered blue, green, cream and brown are individually hand-knotted on graphite-colored silk, hand-dyed by René. Sterling silver paperclip chain completes the back of the necklace, creating an airy contrast to the organic stones and fastening securely with a lobster clasp.

Desert Aurora is grounded and luminous all at once—an entirely one-of-a-kind necklace made for the woman drawn to jewelry that changes each time the light finds it.

Labradorite’s flash changes with the angle and quality of the light. Natural variations in color, matrix and surface characteristics are part of each stone’s individual beauty and make this necklace entirely unrepeatable.
Materials

Each Sun Salt Silver piece is handcrafted using sterling and fine silver with natural stones chosen for their character, color, and story.

I work primarily with turquoise, opal, gemstones, shark tooth fossils, and other stones that feel grounded and alive. No two stones are identical — natural variations are part of the beauty.

All jewelry is made by hand in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques. The result is work that feels substantial, personal, and meant to be worn for years.

Because many designs feature natural stones like turquoise, opal, shell, or fossilized materials, treat your jewelry gently.
