One-of-a-kind piece. Once it's gone, it won't be recreated.

Handcrafted in silver. Made to be worn and lived in.

Black ground. Mint-green clouds scattered across the surface like something seen from altitude. Like a map of somewhere you have always known but never been able to name.

This is Carico Lake Variscite from Lander County, Nevada. One of the most collector-sought stones in the American Southwest. The mine produces limited quantities, and no two pieces of it look alike. This one is oval, approximately one inch, and the contrast between the deep black matrix and the vivid mint-green is as dramatic in person as it looks in the photograph.

It is set in a smooth, high-polish sterling silver bezel and hangs from the charm keeper ring of the toggle clasp at center front. The necklace splits from there: faceted pale seafoam rondelles hand-knotted on teal silk on one side, sterling silver oval link chain on the other. Asymmetric by design. 18 inches total, plus the pendant.

One of a kind. One piece only.

The Stone
Carico Lake is a small mine in Lander County, Nevada. It produces variscite in quantities that make collectors pay attention. The material that comes out of it is unlike any other variscite source in the world: deep black matrix, vivid mint-green, dramatic contrast that looks almost painted but is entirely geological.

Variscite is a phosphate mineral, rarer than turquoise and less well-known, which means the people who seek it out already know what they are looking at. It carries the symbolism of calm presence, patience, and grounded inner stillness. Not the loud kind of peace. The kind that has been earned.

This stone has been forming in the Nevada desert for millions of years. It did not hurry. Neither should you.

Care
Sterling Silver Sterling silver develops a natural patina with wear. This is character, not damage. Polish gently with a soft silver cloth to restore brightness, or leave it to deepen with time.

Carico Lake Variscite Natural variscite is a phosphate mineral and moderately porous. Keep away from chemicals, perfume, lotions, and ultrasonic cleaners. Remove before swimming, bathing, or washing hands. Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can affect the color over time.

Hand-Knotted Silk Silk is strong but not waterproof. Keep away from prolonged moisture including sweat, rain, and water. Do not submerge. If damp, lay flat and allow to air dry completely before storing. Store flat or loosely coiled, never bunched or compressed, to preserve the integrity of the knots and the drape of the beads.

Materials

Each Sun Salt Silver piece is handcrafted using sterling and fine silver with natural stones chosen for their character, color, and story.

I work primarily with turquoise, opal, gemstones, shark tooth fossils, and other stones that feel grounded and alive. No two stones are identical — natural variations are part of the beauty.

All jewelry is made by hand in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques. The result is work that feels substantial, personal, and meant to be worn for years.

Care & Longevity

Sun Salt Silver jewelry is made to be worn and lived in. With a little care, your piece will keep its beauty for years.

Because many designs feature natural stones like turquoise, opal, shell, or fossilized materials, treat your jewelry gently.

A few simple guidelines:

• Remove before swimming, showering, or working with your hands
• Avoid lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products
• Store pieces separately to prevent scratching
• Gently polish silver with a soft cloth when needed

Natural stones can be sensitive to water and chemicals. Keeping your jewelry dry and stored safely will help preserve its color and finish.
